Copyright Policy and takedown requests

If you believe content on AI Song Generator infringes your copyright or other rights, submit a notice with the claim form on this page and we will review it promptly. This policy explains what a notice must include, what happens next, how to file a counter-notice and how we deal with repeat infringers.

Last updated 21 October 2026

Section 01

1. What this policy covers

Tracks in the AI Song Generator Studio are private by default, so most claims concern content a user has chosen to publish, such as a public track or playlist page. You can also tell us if you believe someone is using the Service to misuse your work privately, for example by uploading your recordings to transform them. The same claim form handles copyright, trademark, voice or likeness and privacy claims; choose the claim type that fits.

Section 02

2. How to submit a notice

Use the claim form on this page. It asks for everything a valid notice needs, gives you a reference number and sends your claim straight to our review team. If you cannot use the form, email the same information to our designated agent, listed in section 8. The form asks for:

  • Your name and email address, and your organization if you are acting for one.
  • The claim type: copyright, trademark, voice or likeness, privacy or other.
  • The URL of the content on AI Song Generator that you are reporting.
  • A description of your original work, or of the right you rely on, with links where available.
  • An explanation of why the content infringes your rights.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights owner or are authorized to act for them.
  • Your electronic signature, which is your full name typed into the form.

Section 03

3. What happens after you submit

We may share your notice, including your name and contact details, with the user concerned so they can respond or contact you. Don't include information you don't want shared.

  • We confirm receipt and give you a reference number.
  • We review the notice. If it is incomplete, we may ask you for more information.
  • While we review a credible claim about public content, we may temporarily unpublish that content.
  • If the notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the content and notify the user who published it, with a copy or summary of the notice.
  • We keep records of claims, decisions and communications, including for our repeat-infringer policy.

Section 04

4. Counter-notices

If your content was removed because of a notice and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice by replying to our removal message or by emailing our designated agent. A counter-notice must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the content that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the content was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address and telephone number.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Byte Nimble Inc. may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.

Section 05

5. After a counter-notice

We send a copy of a valid counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to stop the alleged infringement, we may restore the content between 10 and 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.

If you are in the EU, you can also ask us to review any decision through our internal complaint process by replying to our notice, and you may be able to use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body.

Section 06

6. False claims

Please make sure your claim is accurate. Under US law, anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that content is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can be liable for damages. Consider whether the use might be licensed, a parody or otherwise lawful before you submit, and get legal advice if you are unsure. We may stop processing notices from people who repeatedly submit unfounded claims.

Section 07

7. Repeat infringers

We keep a record of valid claims against each account and may issue a strike for each one upheld. Users who repeatedly infringe other people's rights face escalating measures, from content removal and warnings to review of all their publications and the loss of publishing features, and in appropriate circumstances we terminate their accounts. A claim that is withdrawn, or overturned by a successful counter-notice, does not count against an account.

When content is removed for copyright, we may also create an audio fingerprint of the removed recording and of the uploads it was made from, so that the same recording cannot be uploaded to the Service again.

Section 08

8. Designated agent

Copyright notices and counter-notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act can be sent to our designated agent, registered with the US Copyright Office: Copyright Agent, Byte Nimble Inc., [Registered address, set NEXT_PUBLIC_LEGAL_ADDRESS]. Email: [email protected], with 'Copyright notice' in the subject line. Using the claim form is faster, because it captures all the required information. Only notices of alleged infringement go to this agent; other messages will not be answered from this address.

Section 09

9. If a generated track sounds like your work

AI models can occasionally produce music that resembles existing work. If you believe a published track on AI Song Generator reproduces your recording, melody or lyrics, use the claim form and describe the specific elements that match, with timestamps. Similarity of genre or style alone is not infringement, but we review every specific claim.

FAQ

Common questions

How long does a review take?
We aim to acknowledge notices promptly and to act on complete, valid notices quickly. Complex claims can take longer, and we may contact you for more information.
Will the user know who complained?
Usually, yes. We may share your notice, including your name and contact details, with the user so they can respond.
Can I report a voice or likeness problem?
Yes. Choose voice or likeness as the claim type and explain whose voice or image is being used and why it isn't authorized.
What if I'm not the rights owner?
Only the rights owner, or someone authorized to act for them, can file a copyright notice. If you've spotted a problem, you can still report it with the report option or through our Contact page.
Can I appeal a removal?
Yes. Send a counter-notice if you believe the removal was a mistake, or ask us to review the decision by replying to our notice.
