AI vocal remover for songs in your library

The AI Song Generator vocal remover splits a song in your library into two stems: the instrumental without vocals, and the vocal on its own. Use the instrumental as a karaoke or backing track, and the a cappella for remixes and edits.

Steps

How it works

  1. Open a song

Pick a song with vocals from your library.

  2. Choose the vocal remover

Run the two-stem split and confirm the credit cost.

  3. Download both stems

The instrumental and the vocal, each as an MP3.

  4. Use them

As a backing track, in a karaoke video, in a remix or in a video edit.

Two stems from one split

The vocal remover runs a two-stem split. You get the instrumental, with the voices taken out, and the vocal stem, with the voices isolated from the music. Both download as MP3s, and the original song stays untouched in your library.

Which songs it works on

It works on songs in your AI Song Generator library: anything you generated with vocals, and the versions you made from it. It does not take songs uploaded from elsewhere, so it cannot make karaoke versions of commercial releases.

What people use it for

Two stems cover most of the everyday reasons to separate a song:

  • Karaoke and sing-along versions of songs you made
  • Backing tracks for performing your song live
  • Video edits where the music continues under speech
  • A cappellas for remixes and new productions
  • Practice: sing the part yourself over the instrumental

Stems that line up

Both stems come from the same song, so they line up with each other: play them together and you hear something close to the original mix. That makes it easy to rebalance in a DAW, for example bringing the vocal down a little for a live show, or dropping it out for one chorus.

What to expect from the split

Vocals with heavy reverb or effects can leave faint traces in the instrumental, and loud cymbals can leak into the vocal stem. Listen through the instrumental before you rely on it for a performance. When you need drums, bass and other parts separated as well, use the multi-stem splitter instead.

Pair it with synced lyrics

For a karaoke-style video, request word-timed lyrics for the song and use them with the instrumental. Vocal tracks generated in the Studio can get word-level timings on the track page, which tell you exactly when each word starts. Instrumentals have no lyrics to time, so request the timings on the original vocal version.
