Workspace

Music maker: one workspace from first idea to finished track

AI Song Generator is an online music maker built as a workspace: you generate music from ideas, then extend, restyle, split and organize it without leaving the browser. Every version stays in your private library, grouped by track and project.

Create

Steps

How it works

  1. Start a project

Create a project for the song, video or client you are working on, so every generation and export lands in one place.

  2. Generate a few directions

Try the same idea in two or three styles and keep the versions worth developing.

  3. Shape the keeper

Extend it, replace weak sections, add vocals or an instrumental, and compare versions as you go.

  4. Export and share

Download MP3 or WAV, split stems for your DAW, or publish the finished track if you want it to be public.

Making music by directing, not programming

Traditional music makers ask you to place notes, choose sounds and arrange clips on a grid. AI Song Generator works the other way around: you describe what you want, the model produces a full arrangement, and you direct the changes. You still decide the structure, the sound and what stays; you make those decisions by listening and editing instead of programming every part.

That makes it useful to people who play and to people who do not. Players use it to hear arrangements quickly. People without an instrument use it to make music they could not otherwise produce.

What the workspace holds

The Studio is organized around your music rather than around a single generate button:

  • Create: Simple and Custom modes, model profiles, lyrics options and reference files.
  • Library: every track and version, searchable by title, prompt, lyrics and style, with filters for songs, instrumentals, uploads, stems and videos.
  • Projects: one place for the generations, references, versions, stems, lyrics and exports that belong to a release or a client.
  • Track pages: waveform, lyrics, the original prompt and settings, version history, stems and downloads.
  • Playlists and favorites for listening back and shortlisting.
  • A player that keeps playing while you move between pages.

Versions instead of loose files

Each audio edit (extend, cover, replace section, add vocals, add instrumental) creates a new version on the same track rather than a new file you have to name and track. You can step back through the history, compare versions and continue from any of them.

Exports such as WAV files and stems are attached to the version they came from, so it stays clear which mix a file belongs to.

Tools that keep going after the first result

A first generation is rarely the last step. From any track you can:

  • Extend from any point to add a section or a longer ending.
  • Replace a selected section of at least 10 seconds and up to half the track.
  • Cover a track to keep its core melody in a new style.
  • Add vocals to an instrumental, or an instrumental under a vocal.
  • Blend two sources into one new piece with the mashup tool.
  • Split stems, export WAV or render a visualizer video.

Using it alongside a DAW

AI Song Generator is not a full digital audio workstation, and it does not try to be one. Many producers use it for what generation does well (ideas, arrangements, vocals, variations), then export WAV and stems to finish the mix in their usual software. On the Pro plan you can also convert a separated stem to MIDI, for people who want to replace or double parts with their own instruments.

Private by default

Your library is private. Nothing you make appears publicly unless you choose to publish a specific track, and uploaded files are stored privately with the rest of your work. When you do publish, only that track becomes public.

What you get

  • MP3 per version
  • WAV export
  • Stem MP3s
  • MP4 visualizer video
  • MIDI from a chosen stem (Pro)

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything?
No. AI Song Generator runs in the browser on desktop and mobile. Generation happens in the cloud, and your library is available on any device you sign in from.
Can I make my own music without playing an instrument?
Yes. You describe the music and make choices by listening. A few terms such as tempo, instrument names and song sections help you get closer faster.
Can I use AI Song Generator with my DAW?
Yes. Export WAV or split stems and import them into any DAW. On the Pro plan you can also convert one stem at a time, such as piano or bass, to a MIDI file.
Is AI Song Generator a free music maker?
No. The Studio requires a paid plan with monthly credits; see pricing. If you want to try open-source models first, our free AI music generator page lists third-party demos that run separately from AI Song Generator.
Can I make instrumental music only?
Yes. Set lyrics to Instrumental. You can also take the vocals out of a song in your library with the vocal remover.
Can other people see my projects?
No. Projects and the library are private to your account. Only tracks you choose to publish become public.
How can I create music online?
Use a music maker that runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install. In AI Song Generator you describe a piece in Simple mode, or paste lyrics and a style line in Custom mode, and the track is generated in the cloud and saved to your private library. From there you extend it, restyle it, replace a section or split it into stems, and each edit becomes a new version of the same track. If you would rather place every note yourself, a browser-based DAW is the other route, and many people use both.
How do I make music with AI?
Start with what you already have. With only an idea, describe the genre, mood, tempo and instruments, and either let the model write lyrics or set lyrics to Instrumental. With words of your own, use Custom mode so they are sung as written. Listen to every version that comes back, keep the closest and note what is wrong, then fix it with the editing tools instead of generating from scratch. Our step-by-step guide to making music with AI covers prompts, lyric formatting and finishing in more detail.
Can AI make music?
Yes. Current AI music models generate complete recordings, including instruments, vocals and lyrics, from a written description, your own lyrics or a reference file, and AI Song Generator is one of the tools that does this. What AI does not give you is note-by-note control: tempo, words and structure are followed closely but not always exactly, which is why this workspace is built around versions and edits. You still decide what the music should be and which take is good enough to keep.
