Steps

How it works

  1. Start a project from a song

Use a track from your library or upload an MP3, WAV or M4A file. The project keeps the song, its analysis and every version of the video together.

  2. Pick the kind of video

AI scenes, lyrics, a visualizer, a moving cover or a short social cut. You can make several from the same song.

  3. Shape it

Approve a storyboard for AI scenes, or pick a template and style for lyrics and visualizers.

  4. Edit the cut

Reorder scenes, choose transitions and trim, then preview the result against the song.

  5. Export

Choose the presets you need and download each version with its thumbnails.

One song, several kinds of video

Release campaigns rarely need just one video. The maker keeps these project types side by side:

  • AI music video: a storyboard of generated scenes cut on the beat, priced per scene
  • Lyric video: the words of the song in one of fourteen animated styles
  • Visualizer: waveform, bars, spectrum, circle or artwork motion that reacts to the audio, with no AI credits used
  • Cover video: your release artwork brought to life for streaming canvases and social posts
  • Performance (beta): a character image that sings your vocal
  • Social cut: a short vertical version built around the hook

Compared with a traditional shoot

A filmed video needs a concept, a crew, locations, a shooting day and an editor, and changes after the shoot are expensive. Here the concept and shot list come first, as a storyboard you can rewrite as often as you like, and visuals are only generated once you approve it.

The trade-off is control over fine detail. Generated scenes interpret your description, so hands, small text and exact choreography are less reliable than with a camera, and you plan around that by writing shots that play to what AI video does well: atmosphere, motion, light and place.

What you can edit

The editor is scene based rather than a full timeline editor. You can change the order of scenes, set a transition per cut (hard cut, fade, fade to black, dissolve, wipe, slide or zoom), trim each scene, switch on lyric overlays and pick the export presets. Saved edits are kept as numbered project versions.

You cannot import your own camera footage into the edit or layer several video tracks. If you need that, export the finished video and bring it into your usual editing software.

Formats for every platform

Each project can export several versions without rebuilding the video: 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube, 1:1 and 4:5 for Instagram feed posts, and a loop of up to eight seconds for Spotify Canvas. Vertical versions can be built around a chosen section, such as the chorus, instead of the whole song. Each export includes three thumbnails to choose from.

What costs credits

Only AI generation costs credits. Visualizers, lyric styling, editing and exporting are rendered by AI Song Generator itself and do not use AI credits. Generated scenes are priced per scene, depending on the quality profile and clip length, and the estimate is shown before you approve. The Studio has no unpaid tier.

What you get

  • MP4 per export preset
  • Numbered project versions
  • Three thumbnails per export

Prompts

Example prompts

Starting points you can paste into Create and adjust. Specific details — tempo, instruments, mood, structure — give the most control.

  1. Release week bundle

Full AI video for the single, a 9:16 chorus cut for short-form apps, and an eight-second cover loop for the streaming release

Plan all three from one project so they share the same look.

    Use in the Studio
  2. Lyric video for a ballad

Slow piano ballad, elegant lyric style, soft artwork background, one line on screen at a time

    StyleLyric video, elegant

Quiet songs read best with one line at a time.

    Use in the Studio
  3. Club track visualizer

Four-on-the-floor house track with a circular spectrum pulsing on the kick over the release artwork

    StyleVisualizer, circle

A visualizer is the fastest way to give a DJ track a video.

    Use in the Studio
  4. Story video in three acts

A lighthouse keeper alone in winter for the verses, a storm on the bridge, sunrise over calm water for the final chorus

    StyleAI music video, Cinematic

Mapping acts to sections gives the storyboard a clear arc.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I upload my own video clips?
Not into the edit. Projects are built from generated scenes, visualizers and lyric layers. You can use images as starting frames for scenes, and export the result to your own editor for footage work.
Is it a full timeline editor?
No. It is a scene editor: reorder, trim, transitions, lyrics and export. Multi-track compositing belongs in a desktop editor.
Which kinds of video use AI credits?
Only generated scenes. Visualizers, lyric styling, editing and exports do not use AI credits.
Can I make several formats from one video?
Yes. Export the same project as 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 and a short Canvas loop without rebuilding it.
Do I need to know video editing?
No. The storyboard and the music analysis do the planning, and the editor only asks you to make creative choices such as order, transitions and lyric style.
