Album Cover Video Maker
The AI Song Generator album cover video maker gives your release artwork motion in two ways: an artwork visualizer that pulses with the song and uses no AI credits, or an AI scene that starts on your cover and brings it to life. Both export at the sizes streaming and social platforms ask for.
See it in action
Short samples made with AI Song Generator from one of our own songs and a fictional character. Turn the sound on to hear how they follow the music.
AI cover loop: the artwork comes alive and loops seamlessly for Spotify Canvas.
Spinning vinyl: the cover as a record, no AI credits.
Ken Burns: a slow push into the artwork, no AI credits.
Artwork pulse: the cover with a waveform that moves with the song.
Steps
How it works
Upload the cover
Use the square artwork of the single or album, at the highest resolution you have.
Choose the song
Pick the release from your library or upload the audio.
Pick a treatment
Artwork visualizer for a clean, low-cost video, or an animated cover scene for real motion inside the artwork.
Export each format
Spotify Canvas, vertical social, widescreen and square versions from the same project.
Two ways to animate a cover
The artwork visualizer places your cover sharp in the centre of the frame, over a blurred and darkened copy of itself, with a waveform moving beneath it in time with the music. The artwork itself does not change, which is often exactly what a label or an artist wants. It is rendered by AI Song Generator directly and costs no AI credits.
The animated cover sends your artwork to a video model as the opening frame of a short scene, with a description of what should move: rain falling across the image, a figure turning, neon signs flickering. The scene starts on your cover and evolves from there, and it is priced like any generated scene.
Formats for a release campaign
One cover usually needs several sizes around a release:
- Spotify Canvas: a vertical clip of up to eight seconds
- TikTok, Reels and Shorts: 9:16 with room for app buttons
- YouTube: 16:9 for a full-length upload of the track
- Instagram feed: 1:1 and 4:5 teasers
Square art in tall and wide frames
Covers are square, most video frames are not. The artwork visualizer solves this with the blurred backdrop, so the cover never gets cropped. An animated cover is generated in the frame you export, so a square cover in a vertical or widescreen video can be cropped or extended at the edges. Keep the important details, such as the title and faces, near the centre of the art.
Tips for short loops
A canvas plays over and over next to your track, so subtle motion ages better than a big event. Pick one movement and keep it slow, avoid text near the edges of the frame, and make sure the first and last moments look similar so the repeat is less noticeable. Watch the clip several times in a row before you upload it.
Artwork rights
Use artwork you created, commissioned with the right to adapt it, or licensed for video use. A designer who sold you a cover for print and streaming may not have agreed to animated versions, so check the agreement before you publish motion artwork.
