Comparisons
How we compare AI music generators
Comparisons of AI music generators go out of date quickly, so ours follow a fixed method: facts come only from official sources and carry a date, audio is judged in blind listening tests, and we say where our own product falls short. This page explains that method; individual comparison pages are published only once their facts have been verified.

Independence
AI Song Generator makes a paid AI music product, so we have an interest in how comparisons turn out. To keep our pages useful anyway, we never present ourselves as a neutral reviewer, we label every comparison as written by AI Song Generator, and we include the criteria on which another tool may suit you better.
AI Song Generator is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any company named in a comparison, and product names belong to their owners.
Where the facts come from
Features, prices and terms change often, so every factual claim in a comparison has to be traceable.
- Only official sources: the company's own website, documentation, pricing page, terms or announcements.
- Every fact is dated and linked, so you can see when it was last checked and verify it yourself.
- Facts older than our review window are re-checked or removed, not left to go stale.
- Rumors, leaked roadmaps and forum claims aren't reported as facts.
What we compare
We score tools on the same criteria every time, grouped into six areas.
- Output: vocal quality, instrumental quality, prompt adherence and consistency across several runs.
- Control: custom lyrics, style text, length, exclusions and editing tools after generation.
- Files: download formats, stems, MIDI and video, and what each of them costs.
- Pricing structure: subscriptions, credits, what failed generations cost and whether unused credits expire.
- Rights and terms: what the terms say about ownership, commercial use and what happens after you cancel.
- Privacy and safety: data retention, deletion, training on user content and rules on voice cloning.
How we run listening tests
We use the same written prompts and lyrics in every tool, generate several takes per prompt, and keep the best take from each tool, the way a real user would. Clips are level-matched so the louder one doesn't win by default, labels are hidden from listeners, and scores are recorded per criterion. We note the date, plan and settings used, because results change with model updates.
When we publish a head-to-head page
A head-to-head comparison gets its own page only when people are clearly searching for it and we can support every claim with a dated official source. We never publish pages that pretend to be another company's login, download or official site, and we don't redirect searches for another brand to our checkout.
Corrections
If a company or a reader shows us that a fact is wrong or out of date, we check the source, fix the page and update its date. Send corrections through our Contact page with a link to the official source.
