AI remix generator for your own tracks

The AI Song Generator AI remix generator makes new versions of tracks in your library. It keeps the core melody of a song and rebuilds the genre, energy and sound around it, and you can extend, replace sections and split stems to finish the remix.

Steps

How it works

  1. Open a track

Choose a song from your library and select Remix.

  2. Describe the remix

Genre, tempo feel, energy, and whether to keep the vocal.

  3. Compare with the original

Remixes appear as new versions on the same track, next to the original.

  4. Finish it

Extend, replace sections, split stems and export the final version.

How remixing works here

Pick a track from your library and describe the remix. The generator keeps the core melody and recreates everything else in the style you asked for. Every remix is saved as a new version on the same track, next to the original, so you can switch between them and hear exactly what changed.

Common remix directions

Most remixes start from one of these directions, written into the style description:

  • Club remix: faster, four-on-the-floor, a longer build
  • Acoustic or stripped: guitar or piano with an intimate vocal
  • Slowed and atmospheric: lower energy, more reverb, wider pads
  • Genre flip: pop to drum and bass, folk to synthwave
  • Instrumental remix: the vocal dropped entirely

Building a complete remix

A remix rarely comes out finished in one pass. Start with the new style, then shape the version with the other tools in the Studio:

  • Extend: add a longer outro or a breakdown for DJs
  • Replace section: rewrite a chorus or create a new drop, from 10 seconds up to half the track
  • Stem split: pull out the vocal or the drums for further work in a DAW
  • WAV export: deliver the final version in an uncompressed format

Remixing songs you recorded elsewhere

This page covers tracks you created in AI Song Generator. To restyle a recording you made outside the Studio, use the cover generator, which accepts uploads once you confirm you own them or have permission.

What it is not

This is not a DJ mixer, and it does not beat-match two songs or let you move individual parts on a timeline. To combine two different tracks into one new piece, use the mashup maker; to rebuild a remix part by part, split it into stems and continue in your DAW.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I remix any song?
You can remix tracks in your library, and recordings you own through the cover generator. Remixing songs you do not have rights to is not allowed.
Does a remix replace my original?
No. Each remix is a new version on the same track, and the original stays in the version history.
Can I make a longer extended mix?
Yes. Extend the remix from any point to add a breakdown, another chorus or an outro.
Can I change the tempo?
Ask for a tempo or a feel such as "double time" in the style description. The result leans toward it, but check the BPM if you need an exact value.
Can I remix only the vocals?
Split the track into stems to get the vocal on its own, then download it and build your own production around it in a DAW.
Can I remix a remix?
Yes. A remix is a version like any other, so you can remix it again, extend it, replace a section or split it into stems.
How do I make a remix of a song?
Choose a song you have the rights to, decide on one direction, such as a club version, a stripped acoustic take or a genre flip, and keep the part listeners recognize, usually the vocal hook. In AI Song Generator, pick the track from your library, write that direction into the style description and generate; the core melody stays while the production changes. Then extend it for a longer intro or breakdown, replace any section that misses, and split stems if you want to finish the remix in a DAW.
Can I remix songs for free?
Not in AI Song Generator: the remix generator is part of the paid Studio, and every remix shows its credit cost before you confirm. At no cost, you can remix in a DAW with a no-cost version, if you have stems of a song you own or one whose artist has released stems for remixing. Load the stems, set a new tempo, replace the drums and bass, and rearrange the sections. Releasing a remix of someone else's song without permission is not allowed, wherever you make it.
