Make a song with your own words, step by step

To make a song with AI Song Generator, you write or draft the lyrics, choose how it should sound, and generate it in Custom mode so your words are sung as written. Then you listen, fix the weak parts and export a finished file.

Steps

How it works

  1. Write the hook

One short, repeatable line that carries the idea of the song.

  2. Draft verses and label sections

Write or draft the verses, then mark the [Verse], [Chorus] and [Bridge] lines.

  3. Set the style and length

Describe the sound in Custom mode and choose a length that fits the lyric.

  4. Generate and review

Listen to every version with the checklist and note timestamps for anything that misses.

  5. Fix and export

Replace weak sections, extend the ending, then export the version you keep.

Step one: find the hook

Start with the line people will remember, not with the first verse. A hook is short, singable and says the idea of the song in a few words, like "Not tonight, Tuesday" or "The kettle knows I am home". Write five candidates, say each one out loud, and keep the one that is easiest to repeat.

Step two: build verses around it

Verses tell the story or set the scene, and the chorus keeps coming back to the hook. Two verses with a chorus after each, then a final chorus, is a shape that works for most songs. Put each part label on its own line, such as [Verse], [Chorus] or [Bridge], so the arrangement follows your plan.

Stuck on a verse? The AI lyrics generator drafts options from a brief of up to 200 characters. Keep the lines that sound like you and rewrite the rest in your own words.

Step three: choose the sound

The style line decides the genre, tempo feel, instruments and voice. Keep it to one or two sentences. Set the length in Custom mode, between 10 seconds and 6 minutes, so a song with three verses is not squeezed into a minute.

A male or female vocal preference is available in Custom mode. It improves the odds without guaranteeing the result, so listen to every returned version before you pick one.

Step four: listen with a checklist

Note the timestamp of each problem as you listen. Those timestamps become the sections you fix next.

  • Can you understand every word of the hook?
  • Does the chorus feel bigger than the verses?
  • Are any lines rushed, repeated or skipped?
  • Does the ending land, or does the song stop abruptly?

Step five: fix the parts that miss

Replace section regenerates a stretch you select, from 10 seconds up to half of the song, with new lyrics for that part. Extend adds an outro or one more chorus. Each fix is saved as a new version, so you can compare and go back.

When the song is done, export WAV, split the vocal from the instrumental for a karaoke version, or render a visualizer video to share it.

Making a song for someone

A personal song works when it is specific. Use names, places and small moments the person will recognize, and keep the hook simple enough for them to sing along. Before playing it at an event or posting it, read every line once more and ask whether they would be happy to hear it in front of other people.

What you get

  • MP3 of each version
  • WAV export
  • Vocal and instrumental stems
  • Word-timed lyrics for vocal tracks
  • MP4 visualizer video

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a song with my own lyrics?
Yes. Paste them in Custom mode with section labels and they are sung as written. Listen for rushed or repeated words and replace those sections rather than regenerating the whole song.
Can you make a song for me if I only have an idea?
Yes. Describe the idea and leave lyrics on Auto, and the generator writes them. Many people then copy the generated lyrics into Custom mode, edit them, and generate again.
How do I make a song for someone special?
Use specific memories, names and places, keep the hook short, and choose a style they love. Export WAV or a visualizer video to play at the event or send afterwards.
How long should my song be?
Most songs work at two to four minutes. Set the length in Custom mode, and for three verses and choruses avoid very short durations, or parts of the structure get cut.
Can I sing it myself later?
Yes. Split the vocal from the instrumental and use the instrumental as your backing track, or treat the generated song as a demo for your own recording.
What if the melody does not fit my lyrics?
Try another version first, since each one comes with a different melody. If lines still feel crammed, shorten them or even out the syllable counts between neighboring lines, then generate again with the same style.
How do I make a song with AI?
Follow the five steps on this page: write a hook, build verses around it, set the sound with a short style line and a length in Custom mode, listen with a checklist, then fix the parts that miss. If you only have an idea, leave lyrics on Auto so the model drafts the words, then edit them and generate again with your version. Each fix is saved as a new version, so you can compare takes and go back to an earlier one at any point.
How can I make my own song online?
Everything happens in the browser: you write or paste lyrics, describe the sound, and the song is generated and kept in your private library, with nothing to install. To keep the song yours, write the hook and as much of the lyrics as you can, use the lyrics generator only for drafts you rewrite, and choose every version that stays. You can also export the instrumental and record your own vocal over it.

Hear your idea as a finished track.
