Music Visualizer

The AI Song Generator music visualizer turns the sound of your song into moving graphics: a waveform, frequency bars, a scrolling spectrum, a circular scope or your artwork with a live waveform. It is rendered directly from the audio, so it is quick, predictable and uses no AI video credits.

Steps

How it works

  1. Choose the song

Pick a library track or upload an MP3, WAV or M4A you have the rights to.

  2. Pick a template

Waveform, bars, spectrum, circle or artwork. Add your cover art as the backdrop if you like.

  3. Set the format and range

Choose the export preset and, for short clips, the section of the song to use.

  4. Render and download

The video renders from the audio and appears in the project with its thumbnails.

The five templates

Every template reacts to the actual signal of your track, so loud passages look loud and quiet ones settle down.

  • Waveform: a smooth line across the middle of the frame that traces the audio
  • Bars: frequency bars along the bottom, with the low end on the left
  • Spectrum: a full-frame scrolling spectrogram that shows the texture of the mix
  • Circle: a round scope in the centre that blooms with stereo movement
  • Artwork: your cover, sharp in the centre over a blurred copy of itself, with a waveform beneath

Why a visualizer is not AI generated

A visualizer has to follow the sound exactly, and audio analysis does that better than a video model. Rendering it directly also keeps it cheap and repeatable: the same song with the same settings gives the same video every time. Generated scenes are better at telling a story; a visualizer is better at showing the music itself.

Your artwork and colors

If you add cover art, the other templates use a darkened, blurred version of it as the background, so the motion sits on your release colors instead of plain black. The default lines and bars use the AI Song Generator warm gradient. Without artwork the background is a deep black that keeps the focus on the motion.

Formats and length

Render the whole song for a YouTube upload or a listening stream, or a single section for social posts. Export presets cover 16:9, 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 1:1 and 4:5 for Instagram feed posts, and a clip of up to eight seconds for Spotify Canvas. A short fade in and fade out keeps the start and end clean.

Visualizer or music video?

Choose a visualizer when you need a video version of a track quickly, when the song is instrumental or abstract, or when you release often and want a consistent look across uploads. Choose an AI music video when the song has a story, a character or a setting worth showing. Many artists use both: a visualizer for every track, and a full video for the focus single.

What you get

  • MP4 visualizer with your song
  • 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5 versions
  • Spotify Canvas clip up to eight seconds
  • Three thumbnails per export

Example prompts

Starting points you can paste into Create and adjust. Specific details — tempo, instruments, mood, structure — give the most control.

  1. Techno full-length upload

    StyleSpectrum, 16:9

The scrolling spectrum shows long builds well.

  2. Bedroom pop single

Bedroom pop single with its pastel cover art, artwork template, chorus only in 9:16

    StyleArtwork, vertical

The artwork template keeps the release recognisable in the feed.

    Use in the Studio
  3. Beat tape preview

Each beat from a tape as its own 1:1 clip with the bars template over the tape cover

    StyleBars, square

One template across a project gives a series a shared identity.

    Use in the Studio
  4. Ambient piece

Slow ambient drone with the circle template, no artwork, full length for a listening stream

    StyleCircle, 16:9

The circle reacts to stereo width, which ambient music uses a lot.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does a visualizer use AI credits?
No. It is rendered directly from the audio by AI Song Generator. Only generated scenes use AI credits.
Can I use my own cover art?
Yes. The artwork template shows it in the centre, and the other templates use it as a blurred background.
Can I upload a song made somewhere else?
Yes. MP3, WAV and M4A uploads work, as long as you have the rights to the song.
Can I make only a short clip?
Yes. Choose a section of the song, such as the chorus, and export it in a vertical format.
Is it the same as the visualizer on a track page?
No. The track page offers a quick visualizer video that is billed in credits. This tool works inside a video project, with five templates, your artwork, a song section and every export format.
