Free AI music tools

These free pages let you try open-source AI music models in your browser, without an AI Song Generator account or payment. Each demo is run by a third party on Hugging Face Spaces, and each page says plainly what its demo can do, where it falls short, and when no demo is available.

How the free tools work

Every free page embeds a public demo, called a Space, that someone else built and hosts on Hugging Face. The demo loads only after you click, so the page stays fast and nothing is sent to the third party until you choose to use it. Generation runs on shared hardware with daily limits set by Hugging Face, not by us.

We keep these demos separate from our product on purpose. They never use the models in the AI Song Generator Studio, never touch Studio credits, and there is no free Studio plan behind them.

What's available

Demos can be paused while we re-check them. When a Space is asleep, broken or no longer licensed for embedding, its page stays online with guidance and marks the demo as unavailable.

  • Free AI music generator: describe a style and get a short clip, instrumental or with vocals.
  • Free AI song generator: paste a verse and a chorus and hear them sung over a backing track.
  • Free AI beat maker: describe tempo, drums and bass for hip-hop, dance or lo-fi grooves.
  • Free AI instrumental generator: music without vocals for videos, games and study sessions.
  • Free AI melody generator: short tunes for sketching hooks and themes, sometimes with a MIDI download.
  • Free AI lyrics generator: no demo yet; the page offers a free writing method instead.
  • Free AI singer: no demo yet; the page explains the consent issues and the safer options.
  • Free AI music video generator: no demo yet; the page covers free ways to make a video.

How we choose a demo

Before a demo goes live on a page, we check that the Space still exists, that its owner allows embedding, that the model and Space licenses fit use on a commercial website, that it actually produces a useful result, and that we can credit its creators properly. We repeat those checks on a schedule, because owners can change any of these things at any time. Being on Hugging Face does not by itself mean a model may be used commercially, so we read each license instead of assuming.

What 'free' covers, and what it doesn't

If you came looking for a free AI producer, remix or mixing tool: we don't offer free versions of those. Our guides on mixing and mastering explain how to do that work yourself, and the paid Studio covers remixes, covers and stems.

  • No account or payment is needed for the demos themselves.
  • Each visitor gets limited daily GPU time from Hugging Face, with low queue priority.
  • Nothing is stored: results are not saved to an AI Song Generator library.
  • Rights come from each model's license, not from our Terms.

When to move to the Studio

The AI Song Generator Studio is a paid workspace for people who need full-length tracks, edits to specific sections, stems, WAV files and a private library that keeps every version. If the free demos have shown you what you want to make, the Pricing page explains the plans. If they have not, they have cost you nothing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are these AI music tools really free?
Yes. The demos cost nothing and need no AI Song Generator account. Hugging Face limits how much shared GPU time anonymous visitors get each day, so you may need to wait between runs.
Who runs the free demos?
Independent developers and organizations who publish open-source models on Hugging Face Spaces. We embed their demos and credit them; we don't operate or control them.
Can I make my own soundtrack for free?
Yes, for short pieces. The free instrumental generator is the best starting point for a soundtrack sketch. For longer scores you can edit and keep, the paid Studio has a Soundtrack Generator.
What happens to what I type into a free demo?
It goes to the third-party Space and to Hugging Face, under their terms, not to AI Song Generator. Don't enter personal information or upload audio you don't have the right to use.
Why does a free page say no demo is available?
Either we haven't found a model that passes our license and safety checks, or the demo we use is asleep, broken or under review. The page stays useful with guidance in the meantime.
How can I tell whether an AI music app is really free?
We do not track other companies' prices, and free tiers change often, so check the app's own pricing page and terms. Look at four things: how many generations the free tier allows, whether free output may be used commercially, whether downloads are watermarked or limited, and whether you must pay to keep or export your tracks. The demos on these pages are free because third parties host open models on Hugging Face; the AI Song Generator Studio is paid only.
