Free AI singer

There is no free AI singer demo on this page yet: the free singing-voice tools we reviewed were either licensed for non-commercial use only or worked by cloning a voice from someone else's recording, which raises consent problems. Below is what an AI singer actually is, and what you can use instead today.

Free demo

The free demo is temporarily unavailable. You can still read how it works below, or try the full Studio.

Third-party, open-model demo

This free demo is hosted on Hugging Face Spaces and runs an open model. It is not part of the AI Song Generator Studio, it does not use Studio credits, and its usage limits are set by Hugging Face.

Steps

How to use it

  1. Write a short lyric

Four lines of verse and two lines of chorus are enough to test how a voice handles your words.

  2. Use the free song generator demo

When it is available, the open-source model in our free song generator sings typed lyrics over a backing track, which makes it the closest free option while no dedicated singer demo exists.

  3. Describe the voice, not a person

Use words like 'breathy alto', 'gritty baritone' or 'bright pop tenor' instead of a singer's name.

  4. Test pronunciation

Listen for blurred words and respell them phonetically before trying again.

Why there's no free singer demo

We looked for an open-source singing model that could run on a public page, sing original lyrics and be used on a commercial website. The best-known options failed on at least one point: several carry non-commercial licenses, and others are voice-conversion tools that need an uploaded reference voice, which makes it far too easy to imitate a real person without consent. The closest suitable tool is a full song generator, so we point you there instead of labeling it a singer.

AI singer, voice cloning and voice conversion

These terms get used interchangeably, but they describe different things, and the difference matters for consent. Cloning and conversion can be legitimate when the voice is your own or its owner has agreed, but they are also the main route to impersonation, and several places, including some US states, now protect voices by law.

  • AI singer: a model sings lyrics you type in a synthetic voice it creates. Nobody's real voice is copied.
  • Voice cloning: a model learns a specific person's voice from recordings and can then make that voice sing anything.
  • Voice conversion: an existing vocal performance is re-rendered so it sounds like a different voice.

Getting better AI vocals

Most problems with AI vocals come from lyrics that are hard to sing rather than from the model itself.

  • Put open vowels on long notes: 'go', 'away' and 'light' sing better than 'stopped' or 'twelfth'.
  • Keep syllable counts consistent between lines that share a melody.
  • Describe the delivery: 'whispered verse, full-voiced chorus', 'spoken-word intro', 'harmonies on the last chorus'.
  • Choose a tempo that suits the words, since dense lyrics need a slower song.

Vocals in the paid AI Song Generator Studio

The AI Song Generator Studio is a paid product. Its AI Singer workflow takes your lyrics and a style description and generates original vocals with an accompaniment. You can set a male or female vocal preference, which makes that voice type more likely without guaranteeing it. Add Vocals puts a new vocal on an instrumental you already have, and Replace Section reworks a line that didn't land.

On the Studio plan, the highest tier, you can also create a reusable custom singer voice from your own voice or a voice you are authorized to use. It requires a recorded verification phrase plus consent and rights confirmation, and the Studio never offers celebrity or public-figure voices.

Prompts

Prompts to try

Starting points you can paste into Create and adjust. Specific details — tempo, instruments, mood, structure — give the most control.

  1. Breathy indie verseYour lyrics

[verse] Paper cups and a borrowed coat / we talked in circles till the streetlights spoke / [chorus] Stay a while, stay a while / the night is long and so is my smile

StyleDreamy indie pop, breathy female alto, soft reverb, muted guitar, slow 80 BPM

A slow tempo gives a breathy voice room to land each word.

  2. Gritty rock chorusYour lyrics

[chorus] Turn it up, turn it loud / I'm not leaving with the crowd / turn it up, turn it loud / I'll be the last one standing proud

StyleGarage rock, gritty male baritone, overdriven guitars, live drums, 140 BPM

Repeated lines make it easy to hear whether the voice stays consistent.

  3. Gospel-style harmonyYour lyrics

[chorus] Lift me higher, lift me higher / carry me through the fire

StyleGospel-inspired soul, powerful lead vocal with choir harmonies, Hammond organ, handclaps

Asking for harmonies on the chorus tests how the model layers voices.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free AI singer I can use here?
Not yet. We didn't find a singing model that is licensed for use on a commercial site and free of voice-cloning risk. The free AI song generator demo is the closest option, because it sings lyrics you type.
Can I make an AI sing my lyrics for free?
Yes, with the free song generator demo while it is available. Keep the lyrics short, describe the voice you want, and expect some rough pronunciation.
Can I clone a famous singer's voice?
Not with AI Song Generator. Copying a real person's voice without permission can violate their rights and breaks our Acceptable Use Policy. Describe vocal qualities instead of naming a singer.
Can I use my own voice?
Yes, in the paid AI Song Generator Studio on the Studio plan. A verified custom singer voice can be made from your own voice, or a voice you are authorized to use, after consent, rights confirmation and a verification recording. There is no free version of this feature.
Can I choose a male or female voice?
In the paid Studio you can set a vocal gender preference, which makes that voice type more likely but doesn't guarantee it. In free demos, describe the voice in the style text.
Is AI singing allowed on streaming platforms?
Many platforms accept AI-assisted music, but they ban impersonation and spam, and some ask you to disclose AI use. Check each platform's current rules before you release anything.
