AI Music Video Editor

The AI Song Generator music video editor is where generated scenes become a finished cut: you change their order, choose how each one hands over to the next, trim the openings, switch on timed lyrics and export the formats you need. It is a scene editor built around your song, not a general timeline editor for camera footage.

Steps

How it works

  1. Open a project

Scenes appear in the editor as they finish generating, with live progress for the rest.

  2. Arrange the scenes

Move scenes into a new order and preview the cut against the song.

  3. Set transitions and trims

Pick a transition and its length for each cut, and trim where a scene starts.

  4. Add lyrics and export

Choose a lyric style if you want words on screen, then render each export preset.

What you control

The editor keeps the decisions that matter for a music video in one place:

  • Scene order, so you can move the strongest image to the first chorus
  • A transition per cut: hard cut, fade, fade to black, dissolve, wipe, slide, smooth slide, circle open, zoom in or radial
  • Transition length, from a single frame to one and a half seconds
  • A trim at the start of each scene, to skip a slow first second
  • Audio fades at the very start and end of the video
  • Lyric overlays in fourteen styles, with your own text color

Edits stay locked to the music

Scene lengths come from the song analysis, so when you open the editor the cuts already sit on bars, section changes and drops. Preview the cut after you reorder: swapping a long scene with a short one moves every later cut, and a trim or a different order usually brings them back onto the moments you want. Your original audio runs underneath unchanged and is never stretched to fit the pictures.

Failed scenes and retries

Video models occasionally fail on a scene. When that happens, the scene is marked in the editor, its credits are returned automatically, and you can run it again at no extra charge. Scenes that already finished are never regenerated, so a retry only affects the one gap in your cut.

Versions of a project

Saved edits are kept as numbered versions of the project. That makes it easy to try a faster cut for a vertical teaser while keeping the original order for the full video, and to export both from the same set of generated scenes without paying for them twice.

What it is not

It is not a replacement for a desktop editor. You cannot import your own footage, stack several video tracks, color grade or animate keyframes. If you need those, export the finished video and continue in the software you already use; the export is a standard MP4 with your song as the soundtrack.

What you get

  • MP4 per export preset
  • Numbered project versions
  • Three thumbnails per export

Example prompts

Starting points you can paste into Create and adjust. Specific details — tempo, instruments, mood, structure — give the most control.

  1. Hook-first teaser

Move the rooftop scene to the very start, hard cuts only, export the chorus as 9:16

    StyleCut transitions, vertical

Short-form clips need the best image in the first second.

    Use in the Studio
  2. Slow-burn ballad

Dissolves of one and a half seconds between every scene, fade to black before the last chorus

    StyleDissolve, fade to black

Long dissolves suit slow tempos; a black fade marks the turn.

    Use in the Studio
  3. Club edit

Zoom-in transitions on each drop, trim the first half second of every scene for punch

    StyleZoom in, tight trims

Trimming slow starts makes fast sections feel tighter.

    Use in the Studio
  4. Lyric version of the same cut

Save a second version of the final cut with cinematic lyrics in off-white

    StyleCinematic lyrics

One set of scenes can serve both a clean and a lyric version.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I replace a scene I do not like?
Before you approve the storyboard you can rewrite any shot. After generation, the editor lets you reorder and trim scenes, and failed scenes can be retried at no extra charge.
Can I add my own clips?
No. The editor works with the scenes of your project. Export the MP4 to combine it with your own footage elsewhere.
Does editing cost credits?
No. Reordering, transitions, trims, lyrics and exports do not use AI credits.
Will my song be stretched or cut to fit the scenes?
No. The song plays exactly as it is; scenes are trimmed to the music, never the other way round.
Which formats can I export?
YouTube 16:9, TikTok, Reels and Shorts 9:16, Instagram feed 1:1 and 4:5, and a Spotify Canvas clip of up to eight seconds.
