From Riffusion to ProducerAI to Google Flow Music

Typing riffusion.com today sends you, through two permanent redirects, to www.flowmusic.app. The first hop goes to producer.ai, the name the product used after Riffusion, and the second goes to the site branded Google Flow Music. The Riffusion pricing address redirects the same way.

Google announced on February 24, 2026 that ProducerAI was joining Google Labs. A Google blog post dated May 6, 2026, written by the founders, calls the product Google Flow Music (formerly ProducerAI). No standalone Riffusion page remains, so the original announcement of the Riffusion to ProducerAI rename could not be read on an official page.

Old Riffusion songs, accounts and invite codes

Many people want to know whether their old Riffusion songs carried over and where they went. The official pages we read on flowmusic.app, Google Flow Help and the Google blog do not explain what happened to existing Riffusion or ProducerAI songs, accounts or paid subscriptions. If you had work there, sign in to Flow Music with care and contact its support before assuming anything was deleted or kept.

We also found no official statement about invite-only access. Current Google help describes open sign-up: users must be 18 or older with verified age, be in a supported region and sign in with a Google Account.

Google Flow Music plans and credits

As of October 15, 2026, Flow Music has a free plan at $0/month with daily top-up credits, two concurrent generations and all core features: the Lyria models, Producer, Projects, downloads, stem downloads, publishing, and image and video generation. The pricing page does not state how many daily top-up credits the free plan gets.

Billed monthly, Starter is $8/month, Plus $24/month and Member $64/month. Billed yearly, they are $6, $18 and $48 per month, which the page describes as saving 25%. Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra members get Starter, Plus and Member benefits respectively.

  • Starter: 3,000 credits monthly (about 600 songs), 8 concurrent generations.
  • Plus: 10,000 credits monthly (about 2,000 songs), 12 concurrent generations.
  • Member: 30,000 credits monthly (about 6,000 songs), 16 concurrent generations, plus badge, events, merch and early access.
  • Extra credits can only be bought on an active paid plan; credits can also be earned through Turntable voting.

Rights, files and tools on Flow Music

Google states that it does not claim ownership of the original content generated with Flow Music. We found no commercial-use statement specific to Flow Music: flowmusic.app/terms redirects to Google's general Terms of Service, which we did not find to address music output. If commercial release matters to you, ask Google directly before relying on it.

Every Flow Music plan, the free one included, lists downloads in mp3, wav and m4a plus stem downloads. Editing works on a selected section with Extend, Cover or Replace, and you can prompt changes to structure, mix or style or use Compose to change lyrics or sound. Spaces let you build custom instruments and effects that can run as VST3 or AU plugins in a DAW, on macOS only per the help center. The current model is Lyria 3.5, rolled out on July 29, 2026.

When Flow Music is the better choice

For many former Riffusion users, the honest answer is to try Flow Music first. Its free plan includes downloads and stems, its paid plans include large credit pools, and its Spaces plugins reach into a DAW. Google said on May 19, 2026 that a Flow Music iOS app was available and Android was coming soon, with the web remaining the main way to use every feature. Developers cannot call Flow Music itself, but Google offers its Lyria 3 models in public preview through the Gemini API.

When AI Song Generator may fit better

AI Song Generator is a paid-only song generator with no free plan and no public developer API. It uses third-party music generation models, and we do not publish audio-quality rankings, so we will not tell you it sounds better than Lyria. These are the practical differences:

  • You want to see the credit cost of each action before you confirm it, with automatic refunds for failed jobs.
  • You write your own lyrics: Custom mode takes up to 5,000 characters plus a style line, alongside Simple mode and instrumental mode.
  • You want to upload a song you own and restyle it, or add vocals or an instrumental to it.
  • You want lyric videos and visualizers made from your track in the same place (Creator plan), with AI scene videos from the Pro plan.
  • You want a written answer on commercial use: on AI Song Generator it depends on your plan, our Terms, your inputs and applicable law, and our AI music copyright guide explains the details.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What happens if you lose your streak on Producer.ai?
Google Flow Music, the current name of Producer.ai, tracks streaks in a Progress panel under Settings > Customize producer. The panel shows your current level, your streak and the actions needed to reach the next level, and the pricing page lists Progress on every plan, Free included. Neither the help center nor the pricing page explains what a streak unlocks or what you lose when it breaks, so the Progress panel itself is the best place to check before and after you miss a day.
Is Riffusion down?
Not in the usual sense: the product moved. riffusion.com no longer hosts its own app. It sends visitors through permanent (HTTP 301) redirects to producer.ai and then to www.flowmusic.app, which is Google Flow Music, and riffusion.com/pricing lands on the Flow Music pricing page. If the old address looks broken in your browser or a bookmark, open flowmusic.app directly. For problems with Flow Music itself, Google Flow Help at support.google.com/flow is the official support site.
What happened to Riffusion?
Riffusion became ProducerAI (producer.ai), and ProducerAI is now Google Flow Music. Google announced on February 24, 2026 that ProducerAI was joining Google Labs, and a Google blog post dated May 6, 2026, written by the founders, calls the product Google Flow Music (formerly ProducerAI). Today riffusion.com and producer.ai both redirect permanently to flowmusic.app, and the old Riffusion and ProducerAI help docs redirect to Google Flow Help. No standalone Riffusion page remains.
Will my Riffusion songs show up on Producer.ai or Flow Music?
Google has not said. We found no statement on flowmusic.app, Google Flow Help or the Google blog about moving existing Riffusion or ProducerAI songs, accounts or paid subscriptions to Flow Music, so we cannot confirm that a transfer happened or that it was complete. For songs made on Flow Music itself, the privacy notice says Google stores generated outputs until you delete them. If older work matters to you, sign in to Flow Music and ask Google Flow Help about your account.
Why are my Riffusion songs missing?
If you open riffusion.com and your library seems gone, the site has moved: it redirects to producer.ai and then to flowmusic.app (Google Flow Music). Official pages do not explain what happened to songs made under the Riffusion or ProducerAI names. On Flow Music, the privacy notice says generated songs, videos and Spaces are kept until you delete them, and deleted data may stay with your account for up to 72 hours. Ask Google Flow Help about missing older tracks rather than assuming they were deleted.
Why can't I join Producer.ai on Discord?
We could not find a current official Discord link. No Flow Music page we read links to a Discord server, and the old Riffusion and ProducerAI docs page that had a Discord section now redirects to the Google Flow Help article Get started with Google Flow Music. Any Discord invite you find elsewhere is not linked from the official pages. For account or product questions, Google Flow Help at support.google.com/flow is the official place to go.
Is Producer.ai invite only?
We found no official statement that it is. Google's February 24, 2026 post said ProducerAI was available globally at producer.ai with free and paid plans, and current Google help describes sign-up at no charge for anyone 18 or older with verified age, in a supported region, using a Google Account. No official page that still exists describes an earlier waitlist or invite-only period, because the old Riffusion and ProducerAI docs now redirect to Google Flow Help.
Is Producer.ai free?
It has a free plan. As of October 15, 2026, Google Flow Music (formerly Producer.ai) lists Free at $0/month with daily top-up credits, two concurrent generations and all core features, including the Lyria models, downloads, stem downloads and publishing. The pricing page does not say how many daily credits the free plan gets. You can earn extra credits by voting in Turntable, extra credits can only be bought on a paid plan, and Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra members get Starter, Plus and Member benefits.
What is Producer.ai?
Producer.ai, also written ProducerAI, is the AI music app that followed Riffusion. It joined Google Labs in February 2026 and is now Google Flow Music at flowmusic.app. It makes songs with Google DeepMind Lyria models, currently Lyria 3.5, and its core features include one called Producer, Projects, section remixing with Extend, Cover or Replace, music videos and Spaces for custom instruments and effects. It runs on the web, and Google announced an iOS app on May 19, 2026.
How do I use Producer.ai?
Go to flowmusic.app, where producer.ai now redirects, and sign in with a Google Account; you must be 18 or older with verified age and in a supported region. Describe the song you want, or pick a starting option such as Make tracks for my vocal. To change a result, select a section and remix it with Extend, Cover or Replace, prompt edits to structure, mix or style, or use Compose to change lyrics or sound and regenerate. Songs download as mp3, wav or m4a, with stems.
How do I create a cover song on Producer.ai?
In Google Flow Music, the current name of Producer.ai, Cover is one of the remix options. The help center describes selecting a section of a song and remixing it with Extend, Cover or Replace, then prompting changes to structure, mix or style. It does not give click-by-click steps for covering a whole song, or say whether you may upload someone else's recording to cover. Use of the service is subject to the Google Terms of Service and the Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy, so check them before covering music you do not own.
Does Producer.ai have a DAW?
The official pages we read do not describe a multitrack DAW inside Google Flow Music. It works through prompts, section remixes with Extend, Cover or Replace, Compose and Projects. What it offers instead is a bridge to the DAW you already use: Spaces, its custom instruments and effects, can run as VST3 or AU plugins inside a DAW on macOS, according to the help center, and every plan, Free included, can download stems to mix elsewhere.
When was Producer.ai launched?
Official pages do not give the original launch date, and because riffusion.com now redirects, the announcement of the rename from Riffusion to ProducerAI could not be read. The dates Google does publish are February 24, 2026, when ProducerAI was announced as joining Google Labs and available globally at producer.ai; May 6, 2026, when Google's blog called it Google Flow Music (formerly ProducerAI); May 19, 2026 for the iOS app; and July 29, 2026 for Lyria 3.5.
How many people use Riffusion?
We found no official figure. The Google blog posts about ProducerAI and Google Flow Music, the Flow Music pricing page and Google Flow Help do not state how many users or paying customers Riffusion, ProducerAI or Flow Music has had, for 2025 or any other year. Riffusion no longer has its own site, so any count it once showed cannot be checked on an official page. Treat user numbers quoted elsewhere as unverified.
Can I sell music I make with Riffusion?
Official pages do not give a clear yes. Google says it does not claim ownership of the original content generated with Flow Music, but we found no Flow Music commercial-use statement, and flowmusic.app/terms redirects to the general Google Terms of Service, which we did not find to address music output. That applies to beats as much as full songs, and to uploads to Spotify or other services, which set their own rules. Google has also said ProducerAI outputs carry its SynthID watermark. Ask Google before selling tracks.
Can Riffusion write explicit lyrics?
No Flow Music page addresses explicit lyrics or swearing directly. Use of Google Flow Music is subject to the Google Terms of Service and Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy, which prohibits sexually explicit content, such as content made for pornography or sexual gratification, with exceptions for educational, documentary, scientific or artistic purposes. The privacy notice also warns that the service may produce inaccurate or offensive information. Everyday profanity is not mentioned either way, so read the policy and test carefully.
Who is the voice of Riffusion?
There is no named singer. The vocals are generated by Google DeepMind Lyria models: Google said ProducerAI used a preview version of Lyria 3, and Flow Music now uses Lyria 3.5, which Google says brings more realistic, emotionally nuanced vocals and better pronunciation. Official pages do not say which voices the models learned from, how a singer is picked for a song, whether artist voices are used or what vocal plugins or processing are applied, so a recurring voice type, such as a gruff male tone, comes from the model.
How do I get vocals that sound like Riffusion?
The sound people knew from Riffusion now lives in Google Flow Music, which uses Lyria 3.5. To steer a vocal there, the help center lists prompt edits to structure, mix or style and Compose to change lyrics or sound and regenerate, and the homepage offers a Make tracks for my vocal option if you want to sing yourself. Official pages do not say whether two voices can sing at the same time as a duet. On AI Song Generator, you describe the voice you want in the style line and compare several variations.
Can my Riffusion song sound exactly like someone else's?
Official pages do not say how close a generation can get to an existing song, or whether two people can get near-identical results from similar prompts. Google has said ProducerAI outputs were embedded with SynthID, its imperceptible watermark, but the Flow Music and Lyria 3.5 pages we read do not repeat that. Use is subject to the Google Terms of Service and the Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy, so read both before trying to imitate a specific artist or track.
How do I change my name on my Riffusion account?
Riffusion accounts no longer have their own site: riffusion.com redirects to Google Flow Music, which uses Google Account sign-in. Flow Music settings include a Customize producer area, where the help center places the Progress panel, but the help pages we read do not explain how to change a display name, and they do not explain how old Riffusion accounts map to Flow Music accounts. Google Flow Help at support.google.com/flow is the place to ask.
Is there a Riffusion or Flow Music API?
We found no Flow Music API. Instead, Google offers the underlying Lyria 3 models to developers in public preview through the Gemini API, announced on March 25, 2026: lyria-3-pro-preview makes tracks of up to about three minutes and lyria-3-clip-preview makes 30-second clips. AI Song Generator does not offer a public developer API.
