AI rock music generator
The AI Song Generator Studio works as a rock music maker: describe a song or paste your lyrics, and it returns a full band track with guitars, bass, live-feel drums and a sung vocal. The guitar tone, drum energy and vocal attitude you describe decide where the song lands.

How it works
Pick the band sound
Garage, indie, arena, punk or something heavier. Each one implies different guitars, drums and vocal attitude.
Write a chorus people can shout
Bring your own lyrics or draft them with the lyrics generator, and make the chorus short and loud.
Describe guitars, drums and voice
Put the tempo, the guitar tone, the drum feel and the vocal delivery in the style line.
Swap the weak parts
Replace a verse that drags, extend the ending for a longer outro or solo, and keep the rest of the take.
What makes a track rock
Rock comes from the sound of a band playing together. Guitars carry the riff and the chords, bass and drums push the song forward, and the vocal has to cut through all of it. Small changes to those parts move a track from indie to punk to arena rock.
- Tempo: about 100 to 150 BPM for most rock, slower for ballads and heavy grooves, 160 and up for punk.
- Drums: a live kit with the snare on two and four, crashes into choruses and fills between sections.
- Guitars: power chords and riffs, clean arpeggios in quiet verses, overdriven or fuzzy tones in the chorus.
- Harmony: simple progressions of three or four chords; the energy comes from dynamics, not complexity.
- Bass: locked to the kick, either holding root notes or playing a melodic counter line.
- Vocals: chest voice, a bit of grit on the big notes, gang vocals in the chorus.
- Structure: verse, chorus, verse, chorus, then a bridge or solo before the final chorus.
Describing a rock song in Simple and Custom mode
In Simple mode, say what the song is about and how hard it should hit: "a loud, joyful garage rock song about fixing up an old car with friends, fuzzy guitars, shout-along chorus". In Custom mode, paste your lyrics and keep the style line on the band: "indie rock, 128 BPM, jangly clean guitars in the verses, crunchy chorus, melodic bass, live drums, raw male vocal".
Guitar words do most of the work: jangly, crunchy, fuzzy, palm-muted, chiming, wall of distortion, twin harmony leads. Add drum words such as tight, roomy, driving or half-time, and a vocal attitude like raw, sneering, soaring or weary. The two demos on this page show the range: Sunday Static is witty indie rock with controlled crunch and a slightly imperfect vocal, while Signal Fire is bright pop-rock built around a big communal chorus.
In the Exclude field, list what pulls a take away from a band sound: synth pads, EDM drop, autotune, orchestral strings, rap verse. For heavier styles, excluding acoustic and piano ballad keeps the guitars in front.
Rock sub-styles worth naming
A sub-style in the style line sets the guitar tone, the tempo and the production polish together.
- Indie rock: clean-to-crunchy guitars, melodic bass and a vocal that sounds human rather than polished.
- Pop-rock: bright production, big hooks and a little synth support under the guitars.
- Punk rock: fast and short, down-picked power chords, shouted vocals, two minutes and out.
- Garage rock: a rough room sound, fuzzy guitars and loose, energetic drums.
- Hard rock: heavy riffs, big drums, a solo section and a belted vocal.
- Alternative rock: quiet verses, loud distorted choruses and a darker mood.
- Post-rock: mostly instrumental, layered delay guitars building to huge crescendos.
Writing lyrics that suit a band
Rock lyrics need room for a loud band. Keep lines short and punchy, put the strongest word at the end of the line where the snare lands, and give the chorus one phrase a crowd could shout back. In Custom mode, label the parts with [Verse], [Chorus], [Bridge] and [Guitar Solo]; a labeled solo often comes back as an instrumental break instead of more singing.
No lyrics yet? The lyrics generator drafts verses and a chorus from a brief of up to 200 characters. Rewrite whatever sounds generic: AI rock lyrics reach for fire, highways, broken chains and "tonight we come alive" far too often.
Refining takes and what to expect
One request can return more than one variation, and rock takes differ most in guitar tone and drum energy, so compare them at the same volume. If a verse drags or a chorus misses its lift, replace that section instead of regenerating the whole song, and extend the ending for a longer outro.
Expect some limits. Solos can wander, drums occasionally rush into choruses, and very heavy styles can lose clarity in the low mids. Library tracks can be split into stems or have the vocal removed, so you can re-record parts with a real band. The credit cost is shown before every generation.
