Text to song: from a description to a sung song

Text to song takes a description, writes lyrics from it, and returns a sung song. You decide the subject, the angle and the sound; AI Song Generator handles the words and the performance, and you can edit both afterwards.

Steps

How it works

  1. Write the brief

Subject, point of view, tone, and one or two details the lyrics must include.

  2. Add a style line

Genre, tempo feel, instruments and the kind of singer you want.

  3. Generate with Auto lyrics

The model writes the words and sings them; compare every returned version.

  4. Edit and regenerate

Fix the lyrics in Custom mode and generate again with the same style line.

Brief the lyrics, not just the topic

With lyrics on Auto, your description becomes the songwriting brief. A good brief covers the subject, the point of view and the tone, such as "first person, a courier who knows every doorbell in the city, proud but tired". Add images you want included, and say what to avoid, such as "no rhymes about fire and desire".

  • Subject: who or what the song is about
  • Point of view: I, you, we, or an outside narrator
  • Tone: wry, tender, angry, hopeful
  • Must-haves: a phrase, a place or a name
  • Avoid: clichés or words you are tired of hearing

What you control and what you do not

You control the brief, the style line and the model profile. The generator controls the exact words, the melody and the phrasing. If you need control over every word, write them yourself and use lyrics to song instead.

The edit loop

Lyrics are saved with every version. When a song is close, copy its lyrics, fix the lines that miss, switch to Custom mode, paste them back and generate again with the same style. One or two passes like this turn a generated draft into a lyric you would sign.

Choosing the voice

Describe the singer inside the style line: range, texture and delivery. "Smoky alto, half-spoken verses" and "bright tenor, falsetto chorus" produce very different songs from the same text. A male or female preference in Custom mode nudges the choice without guaranteeing it.

Where text to song fits

Text to song is quickest when you know what a song should be about but have not written anything yet. For instrumentals or soundscapes, use text to music. For lyrics you already wrote, use lyrics to song. For lyric drafts without any audio, use the AI lyrics generator.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between text to song and text to music?
Text to song is about sung songs with lyrics written from your description. Text to music covers any music from a description, including instrumentals and soundscapes.
Can I edit the lyrics it writes?
Yes. Copy them from the version, edit them, and generate again in Custom mode so your edited words are the ones that get sung.
Can I choose the singer?
Describe the voice in the style line and set a male or female preference in Custom mode. Voices of real singers are not available.
Can I turn a text message or a poem into a song?
Yes. Use it as the brief for Auto lyrics, or paste the exact words in Custom mode to have them sung as written.
Why did the lyrics ignore part of my description?
Long briefs get condensed. Put the most important detail first, keep the brief to a few lines and regenerate; another version may use what the first one left out.
