Premise to song

Song generator: one premise in, full songs out

A song generator writes and performs a complete song from a short premise. Tell AI Song Generator who the song is about, what happens and how it should sound, and it returns finished versions with lyrics, a melody and a lead vocal.

Steps

How it works

  1. Write the premise

One or two sentences with a character, an event and a turn. Specific beats clever.

  2. Add the sound

Genre, tempo feel and the kind of voice, in a short style line.

  3. Generate with Auto lyrics

Let the generator write the words, then read them while you listen to each version.

  4. Keep and refine

Favorite the best version, replace weak sections, and export when it feels finished.

Start with a premise, not a topic

"A song about summer" gives a generator almost nothing to work with. A premise has a character, a situation and a turn: "two friends repaint an old boat all summer and never actually sail it". The more specific the premise, the more the lyrics sound like they belong to one particular song.

  • Who: a person, a group, an animal, or an object with a point of view
  • What happens: one event or decision, not a whole life story
  • The turn: what has changed by the last chorus
  • The sound: genre, tempo feel and the type of voice

A worked example

Premise: "a night-shift nurse who sings to herself in the elevator between floors". Style: "soulful pop, electric piano, light drums, warm female vocal, gentle build". With lyrics on Auto, one version might open in the elevator, use the floor numbers as a countdown in the chorus and end as the sun comes up.

If the chorus is strong but a verse wanders, keep that version and replace only the verse. Regenerating the whole song throws away the part that already works.

Theme songs and occasion songs

Theme songs for shows, channels, teams and characters suit a generator well, because they have a clear subject and a short, repeatable hook. Put the name and one or two traits in the premise, and ask for a chorus that repeats the name.

Love songs, anniversary songs and songs for a friend need details only you know: a street name, a running joke, the year you met. Generic feelings produce generic lyrics, while a single specific memory gives the generator a line worth building around.

Picking a voice for the song

The voice is part of the style line. Describe its range, texture and delivery, such as "husky low female vocal, spoken verses, sung chorus" or "bright group harmonies". A male or female preference in Custom mode nudges the choice. Voices of real singers are not available, by design.

What to expect from each request

Each request can return more than one version, each with its own melody and lyric choices. Expect songs with a familiar shape: an intro, verses, a chorus that comes back and an ending. For an exact length, use Custom mode and set anything from 10 seconds to 6 minutes.

Lyrics are saved with every version. If you love the words of one version but not its sound, paste those lyrics into Custom mode and generate again with a new style line.

Turning a generated song into your song

A generator gets you to a first draft quickly. The songs people keep usually have a few deliberate edits: one rewritten line, a stronger final chorus, a shorter intro. Use replace section for those changes and extend for a longer ending, or move to the song maker workflow when you want to write more of it yourself.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the AI song generator?
Both run on the same engine. This page focuses on getting a whole song from a short premise with automatic lyrics. The AI song generator page goes deeper into lyric options, vocal control and fixing individual sections.
Can the song generator write the lyrics for me?
Yes. Leave lyrics on Auto and it writes them from your premise. You can read them on the track afterwards, then reuse or edit them for another take.
Can I make a song with a specific voice?
You can describe the voice in detail and set a male or female preference in Custom mode. Voices of real people are not available. On the Studio plan you can add a custom singer voice based on a voice you own or are authorized to use, verified with a recorded phrase.
How long does a generated song run?
In Simple mode the length follows the material the generator writes. In Custom mode you choose anything from 10 seconds to 6 minutes, and you can extend any version later.
Can I hear the same lyrics in another genre?
Yes. Copy the lyrics into Custom mode and change the style line, or use the cover tool, which keeps the core melody of a track in your library and changes its style.
