AI sound generator for short sounds, textures and loops

The AI Song Generator AI sound generator turns a text description into a short sound, texture or loopable phrase, with an optional tempo and key so it fits the music you are working on. It is available from the Creator plan, and the credit cost is shown before you confirm.

Steps

How it works

  1. Open sounds and loops

Start a new sound in the Studio from the Creator plan up.

  2. Describe one sound

Name the source, the movement and the space in a sentence or two.

  3. Set loop, tempo and key

Turn the loop on for anything that repeats, and match the tempo and key to your project.

  4. Generate and audition

Check the cost, confirm, then listen to the result against your track or scene.

  5. Download and place it

Download the MP3 and trim the start and end in your editor; leave a little silence at the edges so fades stay clean.

How the sound generator works

Describe a sound in words, up to 500 characters, and get a short audio clip back: a texture, a swell, a hit or a musical phrase. Three optional settings shape the result:

  • Loop: asks for a clip built to repeat, for pads, grooves and ambiences
  • Tempo: a target from 1 to 300 BPM, so a phrase sits on your project grid
  • Key: any of the 24 major and minor keys, or leave it open

How to describe a sound

Sound prompts work best when they name the source, the movement and the space: "glassy synth swell that rises and fades", "rain on a tin roof, close and steady", "low bowed metal, long and dark". Name what makes the sound, what it does and where it happens, then add one word of character such as warm, brittle or distant.

Keep one idea per request. A prompt that asks for a riser, a drum fill and a vocal chop at once tends to blur all three; three short requests give you three usable clips.

Loops, tempo and key

Switch the loop option on when the sound has to run under something for longer than one take: an ambience under a scene, a pulse under a menu screen, a groove under a voiceover. Setting the tempo to your project BPM and the key to the song you are building means a generated phrase can drop straight onto the timeline.

There is no duration setting: the clip length follows the sound you describe. Audition the seam where a loop repeats, and if there is a small click or gap, trim a few milliseconds or add a short crossfade in your editor.

Sound generator or sound effect generator?

Both pages use the same tool from different angles. This one is about musical sounds, textures and phrases for producers and creators. The sound effect generator page focuses on effects for video and games, and on separating effects from music you have already made.

The term "sound maker" covers everything from music apps to white-noise machines. AI Song Generator is a music studio first: short sounds sit next to your songs in the same library, and full tracks still come from the main generator.

When a full track works better

Short sounds are clips, not compositions. For an ambient bed that has to evolve over several minutes, or a cue with a beginning, middle and end, generate an instrumental in Custom mode instead and set the length from 10 seconds to 6 minutes. Generated sounds and tracks both land in your library, where you can download them or export WAV.

What you get

  • Short generated sounds and loopable phrases (MP3)
  • MP3 download of every sound
  • Optional tempo and key per request

Prompts

Example prompts

Starting points you can paste into Create and adjust. Specific details — tempo, instruments, mood, structure — give the most control.

  1. Glassy swell

Glassy synth swell that rises for two bars and fades into reverb

Set the tempo to your track so the swell lands on the downbeat.

    Use in the Studio
  2. Lo-fi keys phrase

Dusty electric piano chord phrase with soft tape wobble

Loop on, 82 BPM, key of D minor.

    Use in the Studio
  3. Rain texture loop

Steady rain on a tin roof with a faint low hum underneath

Loop on, no tempo or key needed for a pure texture.

    Use in the Studio
  4. Percussion groove

Hand percussion groove of shaker, congas and a soft clap

Loop on, 100 BPM, to sit under a vocal idea.

    Use in the Studio
  5. Countdown pulse

Ticking pulse with a slowly rising filter for an on-screen countdown

Loop on and trim it to the length of the countdown.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the AI sound generator available?
Yes, from the Creator plan. Describe the sound, choose loop, tempo and key if you need them, and the credit cost is shown before you confirm.
What counts as a sound?
Short clips described in words: textures, swells, hits and musical phrases. Full songs and instrumentals stay in the main generator.
Can I make loops?
Yes. Turn on the loop option and the clip is generated to repeat. Listen to the seam once in your editor, because a small trim sometimes makes the repeat smoother.
Can I set the tempo and key of a sound?
Yes. Tempo accepts 1 to 300 BPM and key accepts any major or minor key. Both are optional; leave them open for textures such as rain or noise.
Can I choose how long a sound is?
No. The sound generator has no duration setting, so the length follows what you describe. Use the loop option or trim in your editor, or generate an instrumental when you need a set length.
Can I make white noise or sleep sounds?
You can generate textures such as rain or a low hum and loop them. For long sleep or focus audio, slow ambient instrumentals of up to 6 minutes in Custom mode work better than a short clip.
How do I create a sound?
There are three classic ways. Record it: capture a real source, such as a door, rain or a struck glass, with a microphone close up in a quiet room. Synthesize it: start from an oscillator, shape it with a filter and an envelope, and add effects such as reverb or distortion. Or layer it: stack two or three recordings and trim them into one hit. The AI Song Generator sound generator adds a fourth way from the Creator plan: describe the sound in words and generate a short clip, with an optional loop, tempo and key.
